Happy Friday, Friends! Irene here with a subtle way of using vellum. If you have difficulty using pattern paper, vellum can help soften the look, making it easier to use as a background. I used the Watercolor Whimsy Pattern Paper, Retro Blooms Pattern Paper, Penelope's Garden Stamp Set, and the Hi Hot Foil Plate and Die.
To begin, I prepared a 4x5.25 Vellum panel with anti-static powder. I stamped the Penelope's Garden Stamp onto the vellum with clear embossing ink and heat-set peach-colored embossing powder. Next, I trimmed a blue and white stripe paper from the Retro Blooms Pattern Paper to the same size and added a double-sided adhesive sheet. I added the stamped vellum to soften the patterned paper and allow the stamped image to shine through.
I created the "Hi" sentiment with rose gold hot foil and cut it with the coordinating die. I added it to the panel with liquid glue. Next, I added Magical Iris gems for sparkle. Lastly, I added the panel to an A2-sized rose-patterned paper from the watercolor whimsy paper pad.
Thanks for reading along!
