Hello everyone! Bonnie here from BONNIECAROLLEE MAKES CARDS! I have a light and airy card featuring the gorgeous Wreath Die Set. I love how vellum paper gives a soft, ethereal feel to both the shaker and the leafy die cuts. Such a pretty look! Check out the VIDEO TUTORIAL for all the details.
Dark grey card stock was trimmed to 41/4” by 5 1/2”. An oval die from a nesting die set was used to cut the panel in landscape orientation. Black sheet foam was cut with the next largest die from the die set.
To adhere the vellum to the back of window on the panel, double-sided tape was used. Tombow adhesive was applied to the front of the foam panel and left to dry. The grey panel was adhered to the foam. Because a larger die was used to cut the foam, it will not be visible around the edges of the window. The excess foam was trimmed off. The two oval dies were taped together and used to cut matte gold card stock. The frame was adhered around the window.
To complete the assembly of the shaker, I like to remove the foam insert from the Misti. The foam-backed panel is placed face down, pushing it up into one corner. The shaker material, a combination of gold, coral and pink confetti, was placed in the window opening. Coral card stock, 4 1/4” by 5 1/2”, was adhered to the back of the shaker. The shaker is now complete!
The leafy die from the Wreath Die Set was used to cut light grey card stock and vellum. The vellum die cuts were adhered to the card stock ones just at the base of the stem with glue dots. The two sprigs with their vellum overlays were adhered starting at the centre of the oval just below the window.
Two different flowers were selected for the spray. They were cut from pink, coral and rose card stock. The flowers were shaped with a ball tool and molding mat. The centres of the flowers were finished off with gold prills and the flowers arranged on the leafy sprays with foam squares. Additional foam squares were used to pop up the leaves
The scripty die from the Meraki Momemts Hugs die set was used to cut light coral card stock and black foam. The letters were stacked and adhered overhanging the shaker window. The spray was embellished with the same confetti mix used for the shaker material. It was finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
