Slimline Birthday Card with Watercolor Whimsy Patterned Paper

Hello! It's Kari here with another card and video to share! I'm creating a Slimline Birthday card with the new Watercolor Whimsy Patterned Paper.

I started with the Watercolor Whimsy Patterned Paper, choosing three patterns: one with a small pattern, one with a medium sized pattern and one with a larger pattern.

I cut the small pattern out with the Birthday die, then I cut the tag out with the medium pattern, and the background is the large pattern. The trick to combining patterns is to use different sized patterns!

I die cut the "happy" with gold cardstock to pull in the golds from the background pattern.

The Peony Floral die set is gorgeous and includes a peony bud...which is what I used for the floral elements on this card. The leaves are from the Madison Meraki Flora Die. Don't be afraid to combine floral leaves and flowers for a different look!
