Hi everyone I am super excited to be back on the Crafty Meraki blog today as a guest designer. Today I am sharing a beautiful stamp set by MFT called Peony Perfection. The stamp is so beautiful. I created a CAS design using this set.... Let’s get started.
I started by stamping the image on Bristol smooth card stock using clear embossing ink. I then heat set it using Brutus Monroe Gilded Gold embossing powder. I colored in the stamped image using my Zig clean color brush markers. Here is a list of colors I used:
- Flower: Light Carmine, Wine Red
- Leaves: Light Green, Turquoise Green, Peacock Blue, Yellow Green
When I use my zig markers or any water-based marker I work in layers. Between each layer I insure it is dry before adding another color. Once my coloring was complete I worked to add more details in the nooks and crannies using colored pencils. I love this tip from Kathy Racoosin. I feel it adds so much detail to my finished card. In the nooks and crannies I added a deep pink color as well as a purple.
To complete my card I added a sentiment from the Altenew stamp set Sweet Nothings. I stamped the sentiment in Momento Tuxedo black ink. To add a little more interest I used gold watercolor from Gansai Tambi to add splatters. I then die cut the panel using my Hero Arts rectangle die and mounted the card on black card base.
Supplies Used:
- Stamps: MFT called Peony Perfection, Altenew stamp set Sweet Nothings
- Paper: Bristol Smooth Card Stock
- Coloring Medium: Zig Clean Color Brush Markers
- Other: Gansai Tambi - Gold
Thank you for stopping by today!

It’s a beautiful card and lovely colors.
Like it when the flower is stamped and gold embossingpowder is used. It gives the card something special.
