Altenew Daffodils with Brenda

Altenew Daffodils with Brenda

Hello there!!This is Brenda from www.mypapercutcreations.com here with you today!! I am super excited to be a guest on the Crafty Meraki Blog this month!!!

I have a couple of cards to share with you today, both featuring the Altenew Paint-A Flower: Daffodil!! Let's get started!!

I absolutely adore painting or coloring flowers, so I couldn't resist making two cards!!

For this first one, I gold heat embossed the daffodils onto Bristol smooth cardstock and watercolored it with Karin Brushmarker Pro Markers, then fussy cut it out.

For my background, I scribbled the same blue marker that I used in the image onto my glass mat and diluted it with water. I painted the horizontal stripes onto a panel of Bristol smooth cardstock. Once that was dry, I splattered it with gold & blue diluted ink. The panel was trimmed slightly and added to a panel of yellow cardstock, then an A2 size cardbase.

The sentiment was gold heat embossed onto white cardstock and fussy cut. The daffodils and sentiment were popped up with foam adhesive and a few gold confetti pieces were added for a little shine!!

Here's a look at the second card...

For this one, I white heat embossed the other image in the Paint-A-Flower Daffodil stamp set onto opposite corners of a panel of Bristol smooth cardstock.

Again, I colored the panel with Karin Brushmarker Pro Markers and splattered on some diluted blue ink. The sentiment was stamped into the center with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and shadowed with a yellow marker, once it was dry.

The panel was trimmed slightly and adhered to panels of black and yellow cardstocks, then to an A2 size cardbase. A sprinkling of clear confetti adds some sparkle to this mostly one layer card!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!! I hope that I've inspired you to break out your markers for some watercoloring!! I look forward to sharing more projects with you in the coming weeks!!
