Hello meraki friends! I'm Lien from Studio Kato and I'm back with another card on this lovely Crafty Meraki blog and the YouTube channel!
For this card I started out by making the background. I die cut a panel of Clairefontaine DCP 250 gsm cardstock with the largest stitched rectangle from the Mini Slimline Essentials Bundle die set by Pinkfresh Studio and masked off the edges using torn pieces of purple tape. I then blended on a rainbow of Pinkfresh Studio inks using blending brushes.
I did some die cut inlay on this background, die cutting the Dad Shadow Word die by Crafty Meraki from the background, once from black cardstock and once from silver glitter cardstock and inlaying all the pieces into the background. I adhered that on the back with purple tape. Then I'm stamping (with Versafine Onyx Black, heat embossed with WOW Clear Gloss Super Fine embossing powder) and coloring a critter from the My Favorite Things Travel Plans stamp set using my Karin Brushmarkers. I also stamped and heat embossed a sentiment from that set onto a black banner.
I layered four pieces of white cardstock behind the background panel and four strips of white cardstock behind the sentiment banner to add dimension to these pieces. I glued it all together with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue. I fussy cut out the bear and adhered him on the background with foam squares. I then used some embellishments from Little Things from Lucy's Cards to add a final touch to the card.
