Hello sweet friends,
Ishani here. I am here with a colroful inspiration with the beautiful the Crafty Meraki Merakulous Mini Slimline Para-Dies and how you can add variation with a lovely technique of die cut piecing by using the scrap pieces we usually don't use when we die cut a large die.
I die cut two panels from the Merakulous Mini Slimline Para-Dies one from black cardstock and one from white. Then I folded a white cardstock of the mono slim line size and blended Distress Oxides in rainbow colors on the main card panel. Over the ink blended card panel I adhered the die cut white panel with glue and then added the black die cuts to fill in the spaces where there are no butterflies. Before placing them in the negative space I added glue behind the black die cut pieces.
After Piecing die cuts together I added some sparkle with the Meraki sparkle divine illusion and for the sentiment I stamped it's your birthday from the Roaring good times on an inkblended strip of paper.
I hope you are inspired to use the negatives of your dies in a similar way adding contrast to your cards. Check out other beautiful stamps and dies at Crafty Meraki store! If you would like to see more of my work, you could follow me on Instagram at quill_ish where I share more ideas with Crafty Meraki products.
Have a lovely crafty week ahead :)
Lots of love ~ Ishani
