Hey there! It's Maggie and I'm back with another card featuring Crafty Meraki products today! This week's theme was stamps, and the only stamps I have in the stash from Crafty Meraki are sentiments, so I got crazy creative up in the craft room and used the Merry Tag Para-Dies to make a jumbo Merry stamp using craft foam!
So here's what I did! I took some craft foam buried in a drawer and cut three different layers using the Merry die.
I then used some Bearly Art craft glue and glued all the layers together and then used some tape runner to adhere it to a old craft block in my stash.
Once I had that adhered to the block, I used the Deck the Halls ink from Catherine Pooler and stagger stamped the Merry across the cream cardstock that I used to create a text background (my favorite!).
The fun part about using craft foam as a stamp is that it is very impressionable, meaning that it picks up any die cut lines that are on your cutter plate. For me, I thought this made things even better because it has a grungy, distressed look to it, which is exactly what I was going for!
Finally, I put the card together using a few pierced rectangle dies to create the base layer out of cranberry cardstock, as well as cut the stamped layer down to a smaller size. A dig in the stash for some matte gold cardstock that I stacked on top of Kraft cardstock for a layered sentiment, and I also used the Christmas die included in the Merry Tags set and cut a few layers out of the cranberry cardstock as well.
A simple card that packs a punch, and that also helps stretch that stash and give those dies some versatility! Hope everyone has a great week....I'll be back on Saturday with more crafty inspiration!
