Hello! It's Kari here today with a new card and video sharing my secret formula for stamping a background! It is easy to build a beautiful background using small stamps using this method.
Watch the video below or on YouTube:
I started out choosing some small images from the Sweet Tweets stamp set. I chose a few flower stamps, and an even smaller heart stamp. I love a monochromatic look...so the light green cardstock with a darker green ink looks great!
Next, I used my secret formula for stamping a background! I hope you'll check out the video to see the method.
Once the background was completed, I used some colored pencils to enhance some of the images. Light green, medium green and a peachy pink colored pencil really add a bit of dimension to the background.
Next, I cut out the beautiful Luna Die set (butterfly) with Dark blue cardstock, light blue patterned paper, and vellum. I layered those up and added a glittery silver body to the top.
I love a foiled "hi" sentiment and this Hi Foil and Die set is one of my favorites! If you don't hot foil, there is also a Hi Layered Die Set, and a Hi Stamp set! I love that there are multiple options to make this sentiment.
I die cut an extra hi with some navy cardstock to match and used that as a shadow layer by offsetting it a bit behind the foiled Hi.
I hope you enjoyed this project today! See you with more cards soon!
Kari
