Just a note by Irene

Happy Friday, friends! Irene here with an ultra-shiny card using hot foil plates and layered die-cut flowers. For this project, I used the Crafty Meraki Diamond Dazzle Hot Foil Plate, Crafty Meraki Peony Artisan Flora Para-Dies, and the Crafty Meraki—Meraki Moments Just A Note Hot Foil Plate and Die combo.

To begin with, I used the Spellbinder Glimmer System to hot foil the Diamond Dazzler background and the Just a Note sentiment onto white cardstock. I trimmed the background to A2 size and used the coordinating die cut to cut the sentiment.

Next, I cut the peony layers in white cardstock, enough to create two flowers and extra leaves. For the flowers, I ink-blended the back layers in Catherine Pooler Party Dress. For the layers in the middle, I used It's a Girl and Cotton Candy for the lightest layers on top. I used Liquid glue to adhere the layers and set them aside to dry. I used Matcha for the shaded layers and Matcha and Melon Ice for the lighter portions of the leaves.

To assemble, I first added the leaves to the hot foil background far apart to be seen behind the peonies and glued them at the branch only. Next, I added the top peony with liquid glue. I used foam tape and liquid glue for the second peony. I used the gap created by the foam tape to tuck a bud behind it. I added a second by tucking it behind a leaf with liquid glue.

I added 1/8-inch foam tape to half of "Just" and liquid glue to the other half and partially placed it over the peony. The rest of the sentiment was also added with foam tape.

Finally, I added Crafty Meraki Limited Edition gems Dew Drop collection - Petunia.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and that it inspires you. Thanks for reading along!
