Good morning! It's Lindsey, and I'm happy to be back to share another card. This week the design team shared gift boxes and flowers, and I combined both of those ideas on my card today.
I designed this card to look like a wrapped gift box. I started by running the Jolly Holly Hot Meraki Shimmer Plate through my die-cutting machine using the recommended embossing 'sandwich". It created the most beautiful, deeply embossed holly images on my light pink card base.
Next I used Pewter Glimmer Foil to hot foil a sentiment from the Gilded Holiday Expressions Press-Tacular Plate and then cut it out with the coordinating dies. I used dimensional foam to pop it up in the lower righthand corner of my card.
Afterward I hot foiled the Jolly Holly Hot Meraki Shimmer Plate with Silver Glimmer Foil onto a darker pink cardstock and cut into into strips. I adhered the strips to the card base to look like ribbon tied onto the gift.
To fancy the gift up a bit more, I cut one of the Blooming Noel Effortless Artistry Papers with the coordinating Blooming Noel Dies. I love these soft colors! I curled the edges a bit to add dimension, and then popped the flowers up on top of the paper ribbon using dimensional foam.
The finishing touch was to tie a dainty bow with silver embroidery floss, which I adhered to the center of the largest poinsettia.
Now you have a card that is a gift itself. :) It would be perfect for tucking into a clear envelope with a gift card inside, and you could always swap out the sentiment and turn this into a birthday card. I hope you are enjoying a wonderful weekend. Thanks so much for stopping by!
