Hello there! It's Andrea back to kick off this week's theme, which is birthday. Who couldn't use more birthday cards, right?
My card features the adorable Gnomeo & Juliet stamp set. I also pulled some images (the cake and banner) from the Birthday Bears stamp. I stamped everything with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copics. I added a few white highlights and cut out the images with the coordinating dies for each set.
I wanted a forest scene for my card, so I reached for the Trees Silhouette Cover Plate Die from Picket Fence Studios. I diecut it from white cardstock and colored it with distress inks. For the tree trunks, I used Gathered Twigs and Walnut Stain. I blended the tree tops with a combination of Lucky Clover, Pine Needles and Rustic Wilderness and applied Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, and Rustic Wilderness to the grass.
For a backdrop I blended an A2 panel of white cardstock with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn for the grass and Salty Ocean for the sky. I attached the trees with thin 3D foam tape to my background, which I then adhered to a white cardbase with double-sided adhesive.
I attached my colored images to my card with a combination of foam tape and liquid adhesive. I stamped two sentiments from Birthday Bears with Versamark and heat-embossed them with WOW! Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder. After attaching my sentiments with foam, I finished with a scattering of clear confetti.
Thanks for stopping by!
