Happy Saturday my crafty friends! Alexandra here to share a fun card featuring one of Crafty Merkaki’s new dies and an older stamp set!

I was browsing Pinterist for colour inspiration and I saw this lovely image of a sunset with pink, peach, teal and soft blue. I just loved how the colours all looked together so I decided to use that colour combination for my card today.

I masked off a rectangle in the centre of my card front and used my Concord and 9th ink cubes in the colours, Honeysuckle, Grapefruit, Nectar, Sea Glass and Harbor for the blend. Harbor ended up not being vibrant enough for the effect I was going for so I blended a little bit of Blueberry too to add a bit more of a intense blue.

After blending, I added a gold splatter with my Starry Colors palette. Once the splatter was dry, I used the Meraki Moments Hello die to cut out the sentiment from the centre of my ink blending.I also cut the sentiment die white cardstock and layered up each letter to add dimension.

I cut the smaller shadow die included in the Hello die set from gold cardstock and adhered all the ink blended letters on top.

Then I lined the sentiment back up on my ink blended panel so that the ink blending looks continuous with just a small gold border around the sentiment.

To finish my card, I stamped the lighthouse and one of the puffins from the Puff to the Beach stamp set and coloured them with my Ohuhu alcohol markers. After cutting the images out I arranged them around the sentiment and adhered them down with foam tape. I used some Clear Nuvo Drops to add shine to the puffin’s beak and the light in the lighthouse as finishing touches.
