Encouragement Card with True Chimpion

Encouragement Card with True Chimpion

Happy New Year! It's Andrea here with my first project as a Design Team member.

Today, I'm sharing an encouragement card featuring the Dance With Me Background Para-Dies and the oh-so-cute True Chimpion stamp set. When I looked at the pattern in the background die, I kept imagining palm trees, which is how the idea for this card was born.

Isn't that little monkey adorable?! I started by stamping him and other images from True Chimpion with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Next, I colored the images with Copics and cut them out with the coordinating die set. I added some highlights with a white gel pen.

For my jungle-inspired background, I first diecut the Dance With Me die from lime cardstock. I blended the panel with Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide inks and flicked white paint across the panel for interest. I diecut an oval from an A2 panel of white cardstock and adhered it to the inked panel with foam tape. I affixed the layered panels to a white card with double-sided adhesive.

Using the Laurel Leaf Para-Dies, I cut two of the smaller sprigs from white cardstock and trimmed them slightly. After arranging the sprigs onto my card, I adhered my colored images, popping up some with foam squares. I stamped a sentiment from True Chimpion with Versafine Onyx Black ink and trimmed it into a banner. I adhered the sentiment to my card with foam tape and finished with a scattering of gold sequins.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope the new year brings you joy and prosperity!
