Tinsel Ornament Layering Die 3 Different Ways

Hey crafty friends!  Michelle here with you today and I'm back sharing with you 3 completely different ways to use the Tinsel Ornament Layering die.  This layering die has 3 different layers to it and you can chose to use all 3 or only 1 of them.  Shall I show you how I used them?

With this layering die, you get 3 different layers. 1 of them is a circle and the other 2 are more detailed layers making the intricate snowflake. You can use all together as they were meant to be or you can use any combination of them.  For my projects I made 1 with all 3 layers and then the other 2 projects I used 2 of the layers independently of the others.

 For my first card, I diecut my background using the Mini Slimline Pagoni Mania Die and set it aside.  I ink blended 2 pieces of cardstock using a red and green Distress Inks and the 3rd I heat embossed a piece of cardstock using WOW! Embossing metallic Platinum Sparkle embossing powder.  Next I used the 3rd more intricate layer of the Tinsel Ornament Layering die and once out of each coloured cardstock.  To get only the circle outline, I carefully cut out the diecut the inside of it, being careful to cut the attached part of it straight with the rest of the circle.  

Some gold and red ink splatters were added and then once dry I attached them to the diecut background using a fine tipped glue bottle and cut off any overhang.  The sentiment was diecut from the Festive Flora Wreath EAP and added with some foam squares.  It was all added to a cardbase and then a few Meraki Sparkle Red Gems added to finish it off. 

For my next card,I did a light watercolour wash using a light metallic watercolour and set it aside.  I heat embossed 3 pieces of cardstock using Skylight, Sage and Peppermint Scrub embossing powders from WOW! Embossing and I diecut the solid circle base layer of the ornament layering die out of each of these.  I added some metallic sparkle twine to each of the tops of the ornaments and added them to my dried watercolour was background.  I added one directly to the background using glue and the other 2 using foam squares.  It was added to my cardbase and the sentiment added from Gilded Holiday Greetings EAP.

For my 3rd project, I used the layering die as intended.  I kept it fairly simple, cutting the top and bottom layers out of a brushed metallic gold cardstock.  The middle layer was cut out of a gold glitter cardstock.  It was all put together using a glue and a piece of ivory lace ribbon was added to the top of it.

There you have it....3 different ways of using 1 product. 1 way using only the outline of one layer, the next was turning them into Christmas tree baubles and the next was the layered ornament, as intended. I hope you look at your supplies and see all of the possibilities for them.
