Beautiful background(s)

Hi y’all, it is Debby here also known as debbyscards on instagram. This beautiful day I  proudly show you my first blogpost as a designer for Crafty meraki. Yeah! Very happy to be a part of this team. I truly hope you like my first card&post, I on the other hand had so much joy creating this card.

The theme this week is coverplates and let me just love coverplates, they always give a card something special, don’t you agree? I own a few plates, among other things this background plate from Crafty Meraki called “dancing feathers” and let this be the plate I used for todays card.

First I picked out the stamp I wanted to use for this card. Because I wanted to keep this card simple with soft colors, I thought the “reason to smile” was the perfect fit for that. This flower stamp is absolutely gorgeous, and coloring this stamp with my copic markers was such a joy. I used some pink and green tones, both soft, like I said before. I diecut the flower with the corresponding die and put it aside.

For the background I used craftpaper, and I rolled this with the “dancing feathers” plate trough my embossing machine. It is always so satisfying to see the result when removing the plate.

Before I placed the flower, I splashed some white ink on it, and while I letting it dried I picked out the sentiment.

 I Decided to embossed the sentiment “there is always a reason to smile” with white embossing powder which I stamped on craftpaper. I taped and glued everything together and decide to gave this card some sequins, and therefore I placed a few “golden illusion”. This goes so easy with the Crafty Meraki Bling Buddy Embellishment Wand. 

Like I said, the result is a clean card and I truly hope you like it.
