Today, I'm sharing a fun and cute stamp mashup. I paired the Roaring good time stamp set with the Love story stamp set, replacing the little girl by the ballerina. How fun is that? And the Elegance stamp set just had the perfect sentiment to go with this sweet scene, don't you think?
To create this one layer scene, I started by stamping the elephant from the Roaring good time stamp set and then on masking paper. I fussy cut the mask and adhered it over the stamped image
I then stamped the sweet couple from the Love story stamp set on masking paper and kept the girl which I placed over the ballerina, to make sure I'm also masking the area she occupies. I'm being careful to mask a bit more around her, so that if placement is not exact, I don't get any part of the girl stamped on my front panel.
I then stamped the image on my front panel and on masking paper. I removed the masking paper of the girl and masked the boy and umbrella images.
Next, I masked the area at the bottom, with masking tape, where the ground will be and I blended, from the left and right side towards the center, Distress oxide Uncharted mariner, Salty ocean and Tumbled glass. I unmasked the bottom part then masked the upper part, and blended the same colors, with the darkest colors on the left, bottom and right edges this time
I then unmasked all images. With pencils, I added some puddle shadows and darkened the edges further on the ground area only.
I then colored the images with Copic markers. I stamped the sentiment from the Elegance stamp set with Versamark and heat set it with white embossing powder. With a white gel pen, I then added rain details all over the card
Hope this card inspires you to mix stamp sets to get more out of them!
Thank you for reading me and see you next week!
