Hi there! It’s Andrea back to share a card featuring another fabulous die set from Crafty Meraki's November release.
That gorgeous cake was created with the new Festive Delight Dies. I love all of the details in this die set, especially all of the items with which you can embellish the cake!
I diecut my cake layers and other elements from colored cardstocks. I blended the cake layers and stand with coordinating inks to create a little dimension. I coated the frosting diecuts with Versamark ink, sprinkled them with WOW! Chocolate Caramel Pearl Embossing Powder, and heat-set them. I assembled the cake with liquid adhesive, popping up the flowers with thin 3D foam.
To keep the focus on that yummy cake, I kept the rest of the card fairly simple. Using the Fern Lattice Hot Foil Plate, I applied Opal Glimmer Foil to white cardstock. I framed the background panel with a frame I cut from glitter cardstock using the new Frame-Worthy Dies. I adhered my background to a cardbase and popped up the frame and cake with foam adhesive.
For my sentiment I hot-foiled the Gilded Expressions Press-Tacular Plate in gold and diecut it with the coordinating die. I popped up the sentiment with foam and finished with some clear sequins on the background and pearls as the flower centers.
