Happy Saturday! It's Maggie here with some more inspiration on how you can see your products a bit differently. The theme for the week is celebrations (have you had a chance to check out the new release yet?). Where I don't have any of that new release in my hands, I still wanted the chance to play along, so I reached for the Spruce Up Layering Tree Dies and used the package dies....you can use them double time for birthday gifts too!
I die cut a bunch of all three sizes out of white paper and got to work ink blending a rainbow of presents to put on my black background so that those colors would pop. Any inks would do, but I grabbed for my Pinkfresh ink cubes so I had a great gradient to work with for each color. I cut out the bows from holographic cardstock to make them super special, and then spent way too long trying to lay them out perfectly across my black card base. Once I got them all to fit (hint: you can turn them every which way for variety!), I glued them all down.
The sentiment is from the Gilded Greetings suite of products (stamps and die). They're so handy to get many sentiments all in one pass! I used Versafine Black Ink and sprinkled clear embossing powder on top so that there was a bit of shine to the sentiment, and then heat embossed the entire sentiment panel. Once I cut them out using the coordinating die, I popped up the Happy Birthday sentiment on a vellum circle with foam tape, then popped up the entire sentiment with foam tape too. A few clear sequins for even more sparkle and it's a card!
See you next Saturday with another project!
Maggie
