Celebration Balloons

Celebration Balloons

Hey Crafty Meraki friends....it's Michelle back with a new post to help celebrate the new #MerakiFestive release!  For my project today I used the new Party Balloons Background A2 Para-dies.  This has previously been released in a slimline die, but they've brought it out in an A2 form, which is great for those that love making A2 size cards. Let's get started, shall we!

Place a piece of double sided adhesive on a piece of white cardstock slightly bigger than an A2 size, to fit the Balloon Background die.  Release the backing paper from the adhesive sheet and adhere to an A2 piece of white cardstock,  Be sure to save all of the diecut pieces from the balloons.

I choose a colour palette of 5 embossing powders from WOW! embossing - In rhe Navy, Opaque Pastel Pink, Metallic Silver, Metallic Gold Rich and Vintage Romance. Ink smoosh each piece of the diecut balloons with your embossing ink pad and sprinkle on each of the 5 different embossing powders, alternating to try and ensure that no 1 colour is embossed more than the others.  Use a pair of tweezers to hold the small pieces right on the very edge, so as not to leave a mark it in the embossed powders.  I double embossed each, to get a smooth amd glossy finish.

Place the embossed pieces back in the diecut background and adhere using glue. Ahere a piece of double sided adhesive to a piece of black cardstock and diecut the background once more. Adhere the black diecut background on top of the white diecut background.

Using the new Happy Birthday Para-Dies, cut the bottom shadow layer from vellum and the top detailed letters from black cardstock.  Adhere these together and add to the diecut background.  Add all mof this to an A2 cardbase.

This is such a fun background die with so many colour possibilities....they are truly endless!  If you haven't seen all of the new release yet, I highly recommend that you head on over and check it out.  It is perfect for every and all celebrations!

Thank you so much for joining me today on the blog.  I hope that I have helped to inspire you in some way and that you get some time to sit down and create. I wish you all the most wonderful and crafty day.  Until next time, Michelle :)
