Have you been wondering if the bold sentiments from the Crafty Meraki Tag dies are interchangeable? The answer is a resounding yes!
Today I am sharing two tags made for different occasions by swapping the bold sentiments. They were both released during #merakicraftober along with layering dies, ornament dies, hot foil plates etc.
For the festive tag, I am using Merry bold sentiment from the Merry Tag die and Wishes tag die for the actual Tag. I began by spraying distress oxide sprays in Mermaid Lagoon and Salty Ocean with a light spray of Abandoned Coral towards the top. On another piece of water color paper I sprayed some more of the red distress oxide in varying coverage. Once this was dry, I was able to die cut the Tag from the blue piece and the bold sentiment from the red piece. After testing to see everything was completely dry, I heat embossed some snowflakes in white embossing powder, made a smaller snow bank to fit the bottom of the tag as well as die cut the smaller sentiment and used the same embossing powder on that as well. I also added a splatter of white paint on the background to 'create' some falling snow. Finally, I used some foam tape and adhered everything together.
For the second tag I used the Merry tag for the actual tag and Wishes Tag for the bold sentiment. I first ran a piece of red card stock with the Parisienne Slimline Die to get that beautiful background. I used the leftover of the blue distress oxide spray background to die-cut the bold sentiment from. I also die-cut the bow from Take a Bow again die set as well as the smaller sentiment from some silver cardstock. Finally time to adhere everything together and add some twine/ribbon and gel pen details to the tags to finish them. One festive and one for birthday.
