Clean and Simple Pressed Floral Card

Hi friends! Irene here with you today. I am sharing a clean and simple card with a light touch of texture. I used the Meraki Moments Hello Stamp Set and the Mila Meraki Flora Para-Dies. For this project, I used the Spellbinders Better Press System. This was an on-the-fly experiment that worked out for me and left a beautifully stamped floral.

I placed one Mila Die in the center of the Better Press System and inked it with Thunder BetterPress ink. I taped an A2-sized BetterPress paper to the Magnetic cover plate and ran the plates through my Sizzix Big Shot Switch twice without lifting the plate. I then removed the panel from the magnetic plate.

I colored the pressed image with Copic markers. For the petals, I used RV00 as the base and RV52 as the main color; I added V01 to add shaded areas. I used YG61 for the stem and YG93 for the shaded parts of the stem. I added a shadow to the left side of the image. I began with W00 and lightly added W2 and W4. I went back with W00 to blend all three shades.

I used the mini Misti to stamp the sentiment. The BetterPress paper has texture, and I didn't trust my ability to get a proper stamp (haha). I used the same Thunder BetterPress Ink to stamp "Miss You" from the Meraki Moments Hello Stamp Set.
