Attitude of Gratitude

Attitude of Gratitude
Happy Saturday!  It's my last week as the guest designer with Crafty Meraki, and I'm grateful for the opportunity!  Coincidentally, this week's theme is thank you cards, which are a favorite of mine to make!  I strayed from the Christmas theme most of my cards have had and created an earthy-toned thank you note using a variety of Crafty Meraki products...let's get to it!
I started out with a 4x5 1/4 panel of white cardstock which I misted then ran through my Gemini with the Marrekech Hot Foil Plate.  But you might ask, this doesn't look hot foiled....BECAUSE IT ISN'T!  I used my hot foil plate with a rubber mat to get an embossed sheet of cardstock.  It's always good to find ways to stretch your supplies!  I did that by having my hot foil plate face up on my base plate in the Gemini, then placed the cardstock and my rubber embossing mat.  I left out the plastic layer to account for the thickness of the embossing mat and used my metal shim, magnetic shim and top plate to finish off the sandwich.
Once that layer was finished, I used the June Meraki Floral Para-Dies to create the focal point of the card.  I cut them all out of white cardstock and blended several shades of turquoise blue on top, and placed a yellow enamel dot as the flower center.  Some greens for the stems and I placed them strategically on the blue blended panel.
When that was ready, I placed a few strips of orange, yellow, green and deep turquoise cardstock in strips across the middle leaving a small gap in between each. I filled that gap with some natural twine to add even more texture to the card.  Last, I stamped the Gilded Greetings stamp in white pigment ink and embossed with white embossing powder on top of deep turquoise cardstock.  After cutting the stamp out with the Gilded Greetings Coordinating Die, I selected the Thank You sentiment and popped it up with foam tape at the base of the focal panel.  A few extra sequins for bling and it's a card!
Thanks so much for following along with my cards this month...hope you've liked them!  Can't wait to see what the rest of the Crafty Meraki team and the next guest designer have up their sleeves for you!
Signing off,
Maggie
