VIDEO Cute and Nutty Friends

Hi crafty friends! Im Lien and I'm back with another cute and fun fall card today. I also made a video for this card, I'll leave that linked below!

For this card I used the Nutty Friends stamp set and I stamped a couple of images from that onto Clairefontaine DCP 250 gsm cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored them in with my alcohol markers so any copic friendly paper you have will work for this! If you want to see the full coloring process, check it out in the video below.

I then worked on my background, and I'm again working on a piece of the Clairefontaine paper that's cut slightly slimmer than an A2 size card. It's about 5 1/2" by 3 3/4". In one corner I'm lightly blending on some Grassy Knoll ink by Pinkfresh Studio and then I'm using the Olivia Mini Slimline die as a stencil. I die cut it out of glossy cardstock, masking paper will work better, but I don't have that so I made do. I used a finger dauber to add on some darker greens. I used Emerald City and Olive Pinkfresh Studio inks.

I used those same inks and some metallic paints to add splatter to this background and then it's time to put the card together. I glued two strips of dark brown patterned paper on each side of my cardbase using Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue. I then propped the inked panel on top of that with foam tape. To ground my little squirrel I cut a banner out of deep red cardstock (to match the mushrooms) and a sentiment strip that I made on dark brown cardstock and white embossing powder. I propped the banner and sentiment strip up on some foam tape. I glued the mushrooms and the ferns behind the banner and propped the squirrel up with foam tape as well.

And that's it! A lot of fun texture in that background, lovely fall colors and a cute little squirrel! If you want to see how I made this card + a matching envelope, you can watch the video right here!
