Hello there! It's Andrea back to share a colorful, floral card. This week the team is focusing on the design principle of Color Blocking, which pairs contrasting, often-bold colors together.
For my card I decided to use the new Artisan Flora Wreath Builder Para-Dies. I focused on two of the flowers (They remind me of anemones) and one of the leaf sprigs. I diecut all of my elements from colored cardstock and assembled the flowers with liquid adhesive.
I thought the Hugs Hot Foil Plate would look fabulous framed by those colorful diecuts. Using my Glimmer machine, I hotfoiled "hugs" with Gold Glimmer Foil in the center of an A2 panel of black cardstock. I adhered the panel to a cardbase and set to creating my floral frame.
First, I popped up the two floral clusters in the top right and bottom left corrners with foam squares. I used thin 3D foam squares, using two layers behind the purple flowers. Next, I glued the leaf sprigs, trimming them as needed, before adhering the remaining blooms with foam squares. I tucked in some leftover leaves here and there and finished the card with gold metallic dots.
