With today's inspiration I would like to show you something simple yet practical. Smaller and larger scraps of paper will come in handy, as well as stamps that have been colored, but no longer fit on a card. I will show you what kind of mini pockets for sweets can be prepared from this.
I thought to myself that this is a fantastic solution for all kinds of events. At a kid's birthday party you can use these pockets to hide some goodies for the little partygoers, at a wedding you can use this way to thank your guests for coming by hiding a small gift inside. You can also hide winning tickets, interesting sentences or quotes into the pockets, and going completely further and thinking about Halloween or Christmas - the pockets will work perfectly as a surprise package of sweets collected during the night of ghosts, or as components of an advent calendar. I'll admit that I'll probably get the idea myself this year and prepare such a calendar just like this. The possibilities are really endless!
If one were tempted, one could also stuff Confetti and glitter into the pocket and give it to someone as a birthday prank. However, you should first check the extent of the recipient's patience and the durability of their vacuum cleaner.
At the very beginning, I encourage you to make an overview of your "usefulness" and "wants", because I am almost certain that without the slightest problem you will find in the decks of cut papers pieces that will be perfect for preparing pockets.
I actually pulled the base papers straight out of the block, but this is so that the set of pockets is aesthetically pleasing and pleasing to the eye, while the strips for decorating the joining I made from the cuttings of a particular collection of papers.
If you are in a hurry and want to make as many pockets as possible in the shortest possible time, it is enough to prepare pockets based only on beautiful patterned paper, as it gives an interesting effect and there is no need to decorate the pockets further.
However, I wouldn't be myself if I didn't show you the possibilities of decorating these little surprises. I decided to spice up the edges of the pockets a bit, so I found scraps of papers from the collection I used to create the triangles (For the love of Flowers) and cut them into strips. Prepared in this way, I glued the strips to the edges of the joining of the pockets, which makes them look like candy.
Here you can be tempted to use additional punches, which will decorate the edge with some frill or other zigzag. You can also make a hole in one of the edges and hang such a pocket on a ribbon. I think I will use such an idea precisely when preparing an advent calendar.
This time, however, I decided to prepare some tiny stamps (Sweet Tweets). Traditionally, I colored the stamps with alcohol markers. I attached the cut out pieces with glue and spacer cubes.
