Happy Wednesday, cardmakers and crafters!! I hope your week is going well!! Brenda here with an uplifting birthday card featuring the Songbird Serenade Press-Tacular Plate with a sentiment from the Sweet Tweets Stamp Set!! I thought this hummingbird with the sentiment was a match made in heaven!!
I began by pressing the Songbird Serenade Press-Tacular Plate onto white cardstock using InkOn3 Blackout Ink and the BetterPress System. I colored the image with Copic markers, then used the Coordinating Die to cut them out.
Next, I blended a bit of Tumbled Glass Distress Ink onto an A2 panel of white cardstock using a blending brush.
The die-cut images were adhered to the panel using liquid glue and the excess was trimmed from the edges. Be sure to use all the pieces you trim away.
The sentiment is from the Sweet Tweets Stamp Set. It was stamped onto white cardstock with black pigment ink and fussy cut.
I trimmed the background panel slightly and adhered it to an A2 panel of red cardstock using liquid glue.
The sentiment was popped up with foam tape.
To finish, a black glaze pen was used to darken the hummingbird's eye and I added highlights and dots to the centers of the flowers with a white gel pen.
This Songbird Serenade Press-Tacular Plate is absolutely stunning!! There is also a Coordinating Layering Stencil Set available, if coloring isn't your thing or a Stamp Set, if you don't have a BetterPress System (but I totally recommend one)!!
