Hi Crafty Meraki friends...have you seen the new Meraki Melody Release? Bindu has done it again, with another gorgeous release! I'm back with a colourful layered card using the new A2 Timeless Frames Die Set and the Floral Fantasy Press-Tacular Plate. This is a rather simple technique but I really like the results! let's get to it, shall we!
Take 3 pieces of watercolour or multimedia paper cut to the size of the frames ( I always get best results on these types of paper when ink blending) and ink blend 3 different colours. I did have to re-ink my ink pads, so I got some nice and juicy super saturated colours. Because the pads were so juicy, the cardstock did not dry immediately, so I used my heat embossing tool on the low setting to help speed up the drying process.
Cut out the 3 different frames and adhere to the top plate on your BetterPress system, ensuring that you have spaced them evenly. Ink up the Floral Fantasy PressPlate and run it through your diecutting machine. Remove the frames from the plastic plate, but do not touch the pressplate. Don't even clean it off. You don't want it to move at all.
Adhere a piece of white watercolour cardstock or paper made made for the BetterPress system to the transparent top plate and place it exactly where the frames were. Place very small pieces of low tack to the four corners, to ensure it stays in place. Do not add more ink to the PressPlate, as there will still be ink left on it. Run this through your diecutting machine.
As you will see, the ink will be darker on the white cardstock in between the frames, as when ran through the first time, the plate only touched the ink blended frames.
Adhere the frames to the white cardstock, lining them up as perfectly as you can. Cut out the sentiment from the Gilded Greetings EAP using the coordinating die. Ink blend the greeting using 2 of the same colours as the frames. Adhere this all to an A2 cardbase and add a few of the Meraki Sparkle Magic Crystal gems.
And that's it. Thank you so much for joining me today. I wish you all the most wonderful and crafty day! Until next time, Michelle :)
