Hello and happy Friday, friends! I'm back today with another Sakura blossom card. I used stencils, prearticular plates, and coordinating dies for this project.
I created a card base with the stencil. I shared the details on how to do this in last week's blog. You can see the details here.
I placed the Sakura Blossom Plate onto the platform, inked it with BetterPress Black Ink, placed BetterPress Paper onto the top plate, and ran it through my electronic die cutter.
Next, I used the stencils. I used Catherine Pooler inks for the layers. For the first layer, I used Cotton Candy, It's a Girl for Layer 2, and Party Dress for the third layer. I used Over Coffee for the first layer for the branch and Macchiato for the second. I added extra shading with Copic markers E13 and E15. I added color to the branch's underside and highlights with a white gel marker.
Next, I used the coordinating die to cut out the Sakura Blossom. Then, I attached it to a stenciled background card with foam tape. I left the card without a sentiment to use as a sweet note card.
It's all done! I hope this tutorial inspires you. If you make this card, let me know. Have a great weekend!
