Happy Friday, friends! Irene is here with a card using alcohol markers on pattern paper. I used the Penelope's Garden Stamp Set, Watercolor Whimsy Paper Pack, and the Hugs Hot Foil Combo. Let's get started!
To begin, I stamped and trimmed the polka-dot print down to A2 size and partially stamped the floral image in black ink. I used three alcohol markers to partially color the flowers in pink. I used Master's Touch (Hobby Lobby brand) #198 and #196 for the anemone and #138 for the other floral.
Next, I created the sentiment. First, I used hot pink foil to create a solid pink "hugs" sentiment. I set that aside for another project to use the leftover negative. I trimmed the blue and white striped pattern paper to the size of the Hugs die. I inked the striped paper with clear embossing ink and heat-set WOW bonding powder. I added the hot foil negative and ran it through my laminator. You can use a solid hot foil plate instead if you have one. This created a striped sentiment with a pink foil outline. I die-cut the outline three times in white cardstock and stacked the pieces together for dimension.
