One Hot Foil plate – 4 Designs – 8 Holidays cards- Part 2

It's time for the part 2 of my "One Hot Foil plate – 4 Designs – 8 Holidays cards" post.

Last week, we made two cards with the Crafty Meraki 'Tis the Season hot foil plate and its coordinating dies. If you missed it it's here !

Now, it's time to use the other pieces we put aside ! This week, it's all about shakers ! I will show you how to make 6 cards with two different designs.

Let's start with the wreath shaker card.

First, I die cut a stitched  3” x 6” onto purple cardstock. I cut a window frame on the middle. I used a stitched rectangle die but you can use anything, a craft knife works great too, just make sure your window is not bigger than the wreaths. I splattered gold inks on it and I put a piece of acetate behind the window.

I glued the three wreaths we die cut from the 'Tis the Season hot foil plate on it. And I glued my sentiment from the Gilded Holiday Greetings Hot Foil Plate on top of them. I added foam behind my panel around the window.

For the base of my card I cut a 3 1/2" x 6 1/2" onto dark purple cardstock and I matted and layered it with a 3 1/4" x 6 /1/4" gold cardstock.

I put sequins on the middle and glued my front panel on it.

Finally , I added Meraki Gold Opal Gems on my card.

I will now show you how to make the second shaker designs. I made two cards with this design using the socks and the presents but you can make 4 more cards using the snowflakes, the bells, the baubles and the candy canes.

First, I foiled the Under the Mistletoe Hot Foil plate onto white cardstocks. I foiled it once with classical gold foil and once with sparkle gold foil. I inked my panels with purple inks.

After that, I used a 4 1/2" x 3 1/4" scalloped frame die 8 times : 2 onto gold cardstock and 6 onto thick cardstocks ( I used oat boxes).

I trimmed my foiled panel at 4 1/2" x 3 1/4" and I glued three thick frames on them. I glued two pieces of acetate behind the gold frames. I put sequins on the foiled panels and closed them with the gold panels.

I matted and layered the shaker parts with 5 1/4" x 4" double stitched rectangles I cut onto dark purple cardstock.

Finally, I glued the socks , presents and sentiments from the Gilded Holiday Greetings sets EAP on them.

We almost use all the 'Tis the Season hot foil plate ! There are still three candies left ! A sweet idea : use them as big sequins on your shakers !

Et voilà ! You now have 8 foiled cards ready for the holidays !
