One Hot Foil Plate - 4 Designs - 8 Holidays cards - Part 1

One Hot Foil Plate - 4 Designs - 8 Holidays cards - Part 1

Hello everyone ! Lounon here !

Today, I am sharing something a little different : I rarely make set of cards but this time I decided to make the most of the beautiful Crafty Meraki 'Tis the Season hot foil plate and its coordinating dies.

If you don't have a foilpress machine, you can use the 'Tis the Season Stamp Set or EAP foiled with a laminator.

With only one set, I will show you how to make 8 cards with 4 various designs. This week we will focus on the first two designs and next Tuesday we will continue with 2 shaker designs.

I wanted a purple/gold combo but you can choose any colors, just make sure you have your cardstocks in three shades for your main color ( for me purple) .

Let's go !

So first of all, I foiled my Crafty Meraki 'Tis the Season hot foil plate with my Gemini Foilpress. I did it three times : once onto light purple cardstock, once onto medium purple cardstock and once onto dark purple cardstock. I used gold foil.I used the coordinating dies to cut them. Keep all the ornements because we are going to use them all !

For the sentiments I used the Gilded Holiday Greetings sets. This set is available as Hot Foil Plate, Stamp Set or EAP. I used the Hot foil Plate and the EAP sets with the Coordinating Die, but for more efficiency don't hesitate to only use one of the three. I foiled them with gold onto white cardstock and I inked them with purple inks. You could also foil or stamp them onto various purple cardstocks but you will have less waste if you use one piece of white cardstock and inked them. You will only have to use the set once to make your 8 cards ( I used Happy Holidays twice but it's easily replaceable by Merry Christmas or another combination).

Now that we have your ornements and sentiments it's time to make our cards !

For the first one, I cut a 3 3/7" x 5" rectangle onto my purple cardstock. I cut thin stripes onto gold paper and glued them on my rectangle. I framed it with a 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 double stitched die. I splattered gold pearlescent inks on it with a brush and water.I matted and layered my stitched panel with two slightly bigger gold and dark purple rectangles.

I glued my three trees with foam pads and my sentiment on top of them.

The first card is done !

For the second card, I cut a 3" x 6 3/4" rectangle onto gold cardstock. I cut thin stripes onto my three purple cardstocks. I glued them on my rectangle. I used my 2.75" x 6.5" Crafty Meraki Greetings Slimline Tag die on the rectangle.

I glued my three snowflakes on it with foams and I glued my sentiment on them.

Et voilà !

The first two cards are done. I will see you next week for the shaker designs ! Keep all the pieces left for Tuesday we will use them to make our shaker cards.

May the craft be with you !

So pretty with the 3 shades of purple and gold. I love how you are giving several card ideas for one set. So helpful.
