Hi crafty friends! I'm Lien and I'm back with a fun mini slimline Christmas card. You can watch the video linked below as well!
For this card I used the Dino-Mite Christmas stamp set by My Favorite Things and stamped 3 of the cute dinos onto Clairefontaine DCP 250 gsm cardstock in My Favorite Things Extreme Black ink. I then colored them in with my alcohol markers and fussy cut them out.
For the background I worked on a piece of blue cardstock slightly bigger than I would need it, I will diecut it to be the right size after doing my inkblending. I want a night sky look so I used Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide inks to blend a nice night sky on there. I then die cut it first with the Crafty Twinkle Slimline die and then to get the size right, I die cut it once more with the Timeless Frames Mini Slimline dies.
I also die cut some gold mirror cardstock with the same Timeless Frames Mini Slimline dies. I glued the inside gold piece onto a mini slimline cardbase (trimmed down to fit behind the scallops of the frame) then glued the starry sky on top of it. I glued down the frame and propped up a snowy hill (free hand cut from pearlescent white cardstock with some Tumbled Glass ink blended onto the bottom of it) on some foam tape. I also added dimension behind my dinos with foam tape.
That's it! For a matching envelope and more information, watch the tutorial below!
