Hey Crafty Meraki friends....it's Michelle back with a new project featuring the beautiful new Petal Poetry product suite from the latest Meraki Harmony Release. The suite consists of a Press-Tacular Plate, stamp set, co-ordinating stencil and die. For my ject today I used all but the stamp set. Let's get started, shall we!
I started by pressing my image in black ink on the BetterPress paper. You can use any paper you'd like to, but I find this paper gives you a beautiful pressed image, as it was made specifically for the BetterPress machine.
Next add your colour to the image using the stencils, going in order as marked on the stencils. Once I had all of my layers of colour added, I went back to stencil 1 and went back over the images with the lightest colour, to tone down the darker shades a bit.
Diecut the images out and keep the negative piece that you are left with. This will be your guide.
I wanted to recreate the layout exactly as they are designed on the pressplate. Tape the negative diecut oiece onto the front of your A2 cardbase and tape down, using low tack tape.
Add some foam tape behind the images and place them in their repsective spots using the negative diecut piece as your guideline. Once all the pieces are in place, remove the negative diecut piece. Trim off any bits that may be hanging off the edges of the card.
Add a gold foiled sentiment from the Love Forever Hot Foil Plate and a few bits of sparkle for the flower centers and that's it.
