A Clean and Simple Rose

Hey friends.....it's Michelle back with you sharing an easy clean and simple card today.  Today we are going as clean and simple as you can get, and you know  what, that's okay....not every card needs all of the things with all the bells and whistles, sometimes all you need is a beautiful image that can stand on its own. The clean and simple style is also perfect for when you don't have alot of time.  Let's get started, shall we!

Start by placing the stamp from the Rose Rhapsody Stamp Set in the stamp positioner.  As this is a large 1 piece stamp that has all of the images on it, you will need to do some masking to allow you to ink up the single stemmed rose.  Place tape or even paper on all of the surronding images around the rose and ink up your image using a black alcoholmarker friendly ink.  I used Memento Tuxedo Black.  Once you have your image evenly inked, do not forget to remove the tape or paper used to mask off the rest of the stamp, if you do then you may risk getting black ink on your cardstock that you do not want.

Colour your image with alcohol markers in a colourway of your chosing.  I used Olo markers to colour mine.  As ypu can see , I forgot to completely mask off all of the images on the stamp and I got some black ink on my cardstock.  I was going to stamp my sentiment directly on it, but a diecut sentiment will cover this  up perfectly.  If this does happen to you, please do not throw out your piece or get frustrated.  Try to cover up any mishaps first with a sentiment or even a little bling...nothing a little sparkle can't fix lol.  And you know in the end, only you will know that this happened.  

I added a gold hot foiled sentiment from the Gilded Greetings Hot Foil Plate and cut it out using the coordinating die.  I actually had this already foiled from a previous crafting session, so not hot foil machine was pulled out today.  A few  bits of bling were added using the Meraki Sparkle Clear and that was it. 

And that's it...a very easy clean and simple card that anyone can do.  Clean and simple cards can definitely hold their own in a world filled with all the bells and whistles that are part of cardmaking.
