Hey crafty friends...Michelle here sharing some more inspiration from the newest #merakicraftober release. I'm sure you've seen the new release and all of the amazing new products by now and perhaps looking for inspiration and ideas. Well look no further, as myself and my fellow dt members have lots of inspo for you!
Today I am sharing a fun and colourful card featuring products from the Tis the Season EAP and the Gilded Holiday Greetings EAP.
The Tis the Season EAP comes printed in black and white, so you can either choose to leave them as is or foil them using a laminator or a Minc machine. I decided to foil mine to add some colour to them. I used some rainbow foil and ran it through my Minc machine to foil the sheet. I then cut them out using the coordinating die and then picked out the present, stocking and ornament.
The sentiment was cut out from the Gilded Holiday Greetings EAP using the coordinating dies as well. These come in black and white and can also be foiled as well. I decided to leave them as is in their black and white form.
For the background I masked off an area for the ink blending. I started with a yellow, then pink and finished it with blue- This created a kind of rainbow effect with them, which matched my foiled pieces perfectly. I attached them using foam tape and added a piece of string to the ornament to make it appear as if it was hanging from the top of the ink blending. The sentiment was added and a few of the Meraki Sparkle Prismatic Green gems were added with the help of the new Bling Buddy. This tool really helps with ease of picking up the small gems and placing them exactly where you'd like them.
And there you have it. Who says you can't make a rainbow hued Christmas card...have fun with them and make them your own. I hope you like it as much as I do!
