Interactive Camping with MFT Stamps and Candice

I am joining in the Crafty Meraki IG hop today sharing this fun interactive birthday card that I made for my husband!

I used these products all found in the Crafty Meraki store:

I began my slimline with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base which fits nicely into your standard size envelopes.

For my background, I first die cut the stitched scalloped panel from kraft cardstock and glued to the front of my card. I then die cut another stitched panel this time from Bristol Smooth cardstock and inked the clouds with the stencil and antique linen. I cut 2 grass pieces and inked both of them with peeled paint, crushed olive & shabby shutters. I glued the larger one down leaving a bit of space to tuck in my images.

Next, I stamped my camp cuties and accessories, colored them with copic markers and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

Now to create the interactive element. I first lined up where I wanted my boy to slide and cut the notch on the left side of my card. I saved the top piece to just add for my pull tab. I then die cut the slit through both the grass and the cloud panel.

Next, I die cut all the pieces for the pull tab mechanism and put it through the slit, trimming the top to fit my boy on with glue. I also stamped my pull onto the grass and adhered it to the top of the tab. Then I just pulled him back a forth for a bit!

To put the card together, I added the bottom grass with foam tape leaving space to tuck in my images. I either glued or used foam tape to add my camp scene. To finish, I simply stamped the sentiment with versafine black ink!

Now it is time for you to head over and see all the inspiration from the Crafty Meraki DT on the IG hop! We are sharing lots of different designs using lots of different products all of which can be found in the Crafty Meraki store!

Thank you for visiting!
