Hugs & Kisses with the new Hugs Hot Foil Plate

Hello there! It's Andrea back with you to share a card featuring the gorgeous, new Hugs Hot Foil Plate and Die Combo.

I knew I wanted to use that adorable chimp from the True Chimpion stamp set. After stamping her with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto mixed media paper, I watercolored her with my Zigs. I diecut her with the coordinating dies and added some highlights with a white gel pen.

For my background I used light pink cardstock and a stencil from my stash. I blended the panel with a couple shades of red ink, with the lightest shade in the center. I splattered white paint across the panel and, once it was dry, diecut it with Spellbinders' Postage Edge Rectangles Dies. I diecut white cardstock with another die from the set and layered the two rectangles together, adding them to a white card with foam tape.

I hotfoiled the Hugs plate with Satin Rose Gold Glimmer Foil and diecut it with the coordinating die. I adhered the diecut to my card with foam tape and tucked in that adorable chimp. I stamped sentiments from Hogs & Kisses with Versamark ink and heat-embossed them with WOW! Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder. After trimming the sentiments, I adhered them to my card. For a bit of sparkle, I finished with a scattering of clear sequins.
