Hugs: Combining Layered Diecuts and Hot Foil

Hello, again! It's Andrea back to share a colorful card combining patterned paper, layered diecuts, and hot foil.

This week the design team was tasked with using patterned paper on their projects, so I chose this beautiful one from the Rainbow Canopy Patterned Paper. Those colors are gorgeous and were the inspiration for the cardstocks I chose.

Using the Peony Artisan Flora Dies, I diecut the pieces for my flower from several shades of pink cardstock and the leaves and stem from lime cardstock. I assembled the bloom with a combination of liquid adhesive and thin 3D foam squares and glued the bud layers together.

I trimmed down the piece of patterned paper and adhered it to a white card. I diecut lavender cardstock with Spellbinders' Notched Corner Frames Dies and affixed the rectangle with foam tape.

I arranged my floral diecuts onto my card, securing them with a combination of liquid adhesive and thin 3D foam squares. For my sentiment I foiled the Hugs Hot Foil Plate with Gold Glimmer Foil and diecut it with the companion die. I attached my sentiment with more thin foam squares and my card was done.

Thanks for stopping by!
