Hello! It's Kari here with another video and special project to share! Today I'm sharing how to Hot Foil a Gift Box -- Yes, you can! I am so excited to share this video with you. Watch it below or on YouTube:
This is a project I've had in my mind for a long time, and I'm finally creating and sharing it with YOU!
I started with the Jolly Holly Hot Foil Plate. It's a beautiful design and perfect for some Holiday gift boxes! I hot foiled the top portion of a 1/2 sheet of paper by turning the hot foil plate horizontally. Please watch the video to see how to do this part.
Turns out that even though the Capture My Heart Gift Box die is a larger die set, the part that shows is the part I foiled! If you look under the box, the bottom is NOT foiled. But that's ok...I only need the foiling on the box portion you see. So HAPPY!! (I wasn't sure if it would work before I actually tried it!)
I started out foiling green foil on a light green cardstock. Once the box was put together, I added a beautiful foiled bow from the Take A Bow Again die set. I love the beautiful bows in this set!
I created a red box with a green metallic bow and a dark green box with gold foil and gold bow.
I absolutely love how these little gems turned out...they are beautiful and shiny, like a bejeweled gift box!
I hope you enjoyed this project today! See you soon with another project to share!
Kari
