Hot Foiled Sentiments featuring Meraki Moments Just A Note

Hello crafty friends! Bonnie here from Bonniecarollee Makes Cards. I have a colourful set of mini slimline cards featuring the newly released Meraki Moments Just A Note Hot Foil and Die Set. This is a large sentiment with a bold font allowing it to take centre stage on a card front … even on cards as colourful as these! The Just A Note sentiment was hot foiled with white opaque hot foil on navy blue card stock. The sentiment and sheet foam were cut with the coordinating die. The words were adhered to the foam die cuts. The die cuts the words out individually allowing for maximum flexibility! The sentiment can be arranged suitably to the design layout.

I chose three of the six flowers and the silhouette leafy branches from Meraki Artisan Flora Dies Wreath set to use on these mini slimlines. The layered flowers were cut from teal, yellow and fuschia card stock … rich saturated colours! Both the flower centres and leafy branches were cut from navy card stock. The components for each of the flower designs are included on their own die. No trying to figure out the die cuts that go together! The flowers were assembled easily and hand shaped.

Tags were cut using the Love Slimline Tag die from the same card stock used for the flowers; teal, yellow and fuschia. A strip of double-sided adhesive was placed on the back of the tag to hold metallic royal blue thread in place as it was wrapped around the tag. The tags were adhered to navy blue card bases measuring 3 1/2” by 6 1/2”.

The navy leafy branches were adhered diagonally across the top and bottom of the tag. The foam backed Just A Note sentiment was positioned on the right hand side of the tag. The branches were used to guide the placement of the flowers. Liquid adhesive was applied just to the flower centre to maintain the dimension created with the hand shaping.

The card was embellished with silver confetti. Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew was applied to the confetti to give them a jewel-like appearance.

This set of cards was put together in assembly line fashion to maximize time efficiency. They are easily created and super fun to make! Check out the VIDEO TUTORIAL on Crafty Meraki’s YouTube Channel.
