Hello, fellow crafters!! Brenda here with you today!! I am in the middle of making Christmas cards over here, but occasionally I need to take a break and use some purples, pinks and blues!! Not that you can't use those on holiday cards, but today's card has a softer, pastel feel.
I began by stamping the florals and leaves from the Altenew Flower Garden stamp set onto white cardstock with InkOn3 Blackout Ink. I colored them with Copic markers and fussy cut them out.
For the background, I ink-blended Milled Lavender, Tattered Rose, Victorian Velvet and a little Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide Inks onto a slimline size panel of bristol smooth cardstock. I mixed some InkOn3 Liquid Pixie Dust with water in a mini-mister and sprayed it onto the panel. I die-cut the Craft-A-Round Slimline Die from white cardstock and adhered it over the ink-blended, sparkly panel.
The sentiment, from the One of a Kind stamp set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and fussy cut. The sentiment and flowers were arranged and popped up onto the front of the card with foam adhesive.
I wish you could see the sparkle on that background panel!! I’m thrilled with how this turned out!! Now that I’ve used my pinks, purples and blues, maybe I’ll get back to Christmas cards now...no promises. Lol!!
Have a great Thursday and I’ll see you soon!!!
