Happy Thanksgiving to those of you in the US who celebrate!! I know that this year in particular has been difficult for many, but I believe there are always things to be grateful and thankful for!
I have a Christmas card to share with you today!! I love the pop of red poinsettias on a black background with falling snow and have to create a card in this way every year.
I began by stamping the images from Christmas Miracle Stamp Set onto white cardstock with InkOn3 Blackout Ink. After coloring them with Copic markers, I fussy cut them out. The sentiment, also from Christmas Miracle, was white heat embossed onto a black cardstock panel.
The poinsettias and holly images were arranged and adhered onto the background panel, popping up the bottom poinsettia with foam adhesive. The areas of the images that hung off the edges were trimmed away. Next, I splattered it with diluted white gouache and a paint brush. Once that was dry, the panel was adhered to a red cardstock panel that was slightly larger, then to a white card base. The finishing touch was Gold Stickles added to the center of each poinsettia for a little sparkle.
What about you? Do you have a go-to colorway that you must repeat every year? I'd love to know!!
Thanks for stopping by today!! Enjoy your day, whatever that may look like for you!!
