Hello friends! Irene here with an easy and fun shaker card! This project is easy and quick, but it looks like it took hours!
Start with one sheet of the Meraki Sparkle Spectrum and trim a panel to 3.75x5 inches. Next, cut black cardstock to 4x5.25 inches. Glue the glitter panel to black.
Next, Stamp the Butterfly Bliss in black ink—color one butterfly with B41 as your base and B21 as your mindtone. Add a darker tone with B28 by lightly adding to the inner circle of the butterfly. Go back and blend with B41 to avoid any sharp lines. You can also go back with B21 if you want to add more color to your butterfly. Use a light gray shade for the insect's body (I used N2.)
Stamp "Happy Birthday" in black ink using the Gilded Expressions stamp set. Die-cut both your sentiment and butterflies.
Glue the sentiment to the lower center of the panel. Next, add a quarter-inch acetate strip to the back of the butterfly. The length is up to you, but trim it to fit in the shaker pouch. Fold the acetate three times and tape it to the card panel with strong double-sided adhesive. (The acetate will help the butterfly float without adding bulk)
Now for the fun part! Pick your bling! I used the Twinkle Treats in Black and Lavender. Use liquid glue and your Bling Buddy and Twinkle Tray to add sequins throughout the panel, as many as you'd like! Next, add Meraki Opals ( I glued three to the panel).
Next, Add the shaker pouch by starting on one of the sides. Remove the paper backing and press down on the back of the panel with your palm or a bone folder. Repeat on the left and bottom sides. Next, add more bling and opals to the pouch before closing. Close the top side. Next, carefully remove the protective film from the sides only. Add the Shaker pouch to a card base with double-sided solid tape and remove the remaining protective film.
You are done! Thanks for reading along. Remember to show us your projects. Have a great weekend!
