Happy Birthday by Brenda - Stenciled Die-cuts on a Foiled Background

Happy Thursday, crafters!! I hope your week is going well!! Brenda here with a birthday card featuring the Lavender Whimsy Stencil Set & Coordinating Dies on a Diamond Dazzle Hot Foil Plate background!!

I started by stenciling the Lavender Whimsy Layering Stencil Set onto smooth white cardstock using dye inks and blending brushes. I used the Coordinating Die to cut it out.

For the background, I foiled the Diamond Dazzle Hot Foil Plate onto smooth white cardstock using my Glimmer Hot Foil Machine and Speckled Aura Foil. I di-cut the panel with a rectangle die and adhered it to an A2 panel of lilac cardstock. The lavender die-cuts were adhered to the background with liquid glue and the excess was trimmed from the top.

For the sentiment, I die-cut the top layer of “happy” once from purple cardstock and three times from heavyweight white cardstock using the Happy Birthday Dies. The bottom layer was die-cut from white cardstock and all of the layers were stacked & adhered together with liquid glue, then adhered to the bottom of the card. “Birthday” is from the Little Green Thumbs Stamp Set. It was stamped onto white cardstock with purple ink, trimmed into a narrow strip and popped up with foam tape. Amethyst Opal Pearl Gems were the perfect finishing touch.
