Happy Friday, friends! Irene here with a glitter card! If you follow me on social media or have read my blogs before, you know I love flowers and sparkles! Today, I'm sharing a glitter-on-glitter flower card.
To begin with, I used my favorite Meraki Sparkle Spectrum Rainbow Ombré Glitter Paper and the Crafty Meraki Peony Artisan Flora Para-Dies. I used one sheet that is half purple and half pink and one sheet that is green and blue, but I used only the green. I die-cut the Artisan Peony dies, arranging the die on the paper to get part purple and pink petals. I also placed the leaf die-cut onto the green glitter cardstock and ran it through my die-cutter twice.
Now, the fun part is assembling the Peonies. Use the guide included in your die set to assemble them in the correct order. I created two large peonies, two buds, and four leaves. I trimmed another ombre glitter cardstock for the background. I chose blue and purple and cut it to 4x5.25 inches. Next, I arranged the flowers to my liking, placed the leaves and buds behind them, and glued them with liquid glue. I then glued the peonies over the foliage.
I added the Meraki Moments Hi Hot Foil Plate sentiment (created in a previous craft session) with foam tape. I love/hate hot foiling, so I make many foiled backgrounds and sentiments in one crafting session. I hot-foiled white over the glitter paper, and I love how it looks every time!
I added the glitter panel to white A2 heavy-weight cardstock. Finally, I added Magical Iris gems for extra sparkle. Why not?!
Have you tried Layering glitter paper? Please let us know! Thanks for reading along. Have a great weekend!
