Hello, again! It's Andrea back with more inspiration using the awesome, new Press-Tacular Plates from Crafty Meraki.
Today I'm featuring the gorgeous Little Things Press-Tacular Plate and a sentiment from the Gilded Expressions Press-Tacular Plate. I went for fall colors and a dramatic background and love how this card came out!
For this card I used the Little Things plate as it's intended and used my BetterPress system to stamp it. To ink up the plate, I used Spellbinders' BetterPress ink, which can bleed with Copics. Next time, I will try stamping with a Copic-friendly ink, but I was pleased with how this turned out. After coloring the image, I cut it out with the coordinating die and added white highlights and white splatters.
For my background, I started by embossing a panel of white cardstock with the Marrakech Mosaic Die. Next, I blended the panel with the following colors of Catherine Pooler Ink: Minted, In the Park, Aquatini, Uptown and Juniper Mist. I added white splatters to this panel, also.
I attached my background to a cardbase with double-sided adhesive and popped up my floral image with foam. To help the florals stand out from the background and add a little softness, I diecut vellum with the Laurel Leaf Dies. I tucked the leaf sprigs under the image, trimming them as needed to make them fit and using the extra leaves, as well.
My sentiment is from the new Gilded Expressions Press-Tacular Plate. Using my BetterPress system, I stamped the plate in black. I used the coordinating die to diecut all of the sentiments and attached one to the flowers with foam tape. I finished the card with some gems from my stash.
