Hello dear friends,
Ishani here. Are you thinking to use your supplies differently for your Holiday cards? I am sharing Faux Dry embossing technique with the #merakicraftober release for some this Christmas card. I love dimensions that the die cuts give on the cards and today I am quick way to use the gorgeous Christmas flower layering dies from this release .
Christmas flower layering dies are perfect for the faux dry embossed look as the layers of varied sizes give an organic look. I start with cutting the flowers and the stamen from Christmas flower layering dies with the cardstock that will also be my cardbase. I chose a maroon cardstock.
and then with glue I adhered the flowers on my cardbase and the stamens on the flowers. I tried to get the three size of flowers as close as possible. In my head two small or two big flowers together didn't look very pretty.
Then I took the bold Merry from the Merry Tag die and die cut a shimmery paper that I have had for some time and absolutely no clue, that where did I get it from. I am sorry, silly me!
Christmas was cut with a normal white cardstock and I used foam tape to mount the Merry and adhered Christmas with Glue.
To jazz my card more - I added the Meraki Sparkle - Fairy Garden
I used Merry Tag die for the sentiment and which I diecut from white cardstock and heat embossed with Gold embossing powder and Gold Opal gems for the Is of the sentiment.
