Crafty Meraki Special Edition Watercolor Kit Project 6 with Sandhya

Hello and welcome back! Today I am featuring the new Crafty Meraki Special Edition Watercolor Kit for my card project. I had a lot of fun with no line coloring, ink smooshing and fussy cutting with this project. So let's get started.

First, I stamped the flower, and a couple of leaves form the included Waffle flower stamp set on Arches cold pressed watercolor paper with the InkOn3 fade out ink, also included in the kit. I did very simple no line watercoloring using the Mermaid lagoon Distress ink for the flower and a mix of the blue and Mustard Seed ink to make my green. I mixed a tiny drop of Picked raspberry ink with the mustard seed for the orange color for the centre of the flower. I fussy cut these colored images and set them aside.

Next I spritzed a little water on my glass mat with the remnants of pink, yellow and green and strategically smooshed down my card panel on each area drying with a a heat gun between colors so they don't mix into a brown. Then I added some darker splatters for added interest. Once my panel was completely dry, I stamped some foliage from the stamp set with black ink. Then I popped up the fussy cut flower and leaves with foam squares over the stamped foliage.

I trimmed the panel to be a bit smaller than an A2 card front and adhered it to a kraft card base. I added thin slivers of gold cardstock along 2 edges. I grabbed the Sending Love sentiment that came with the kit and matted with white cardstock and added it to the card. Finally, I added a little doodle with a fine liner for the center of the flower and accented it with some gold puffy paint.
