It's hard to believe that Christmas is only a month away. Incredible how this time passes so quickly.
The Christmas release appeared some time ago, but it has been on my desk invariably ever since. Today I will once again show you the release of one of my favorite "Festive Frolic" sets.
I suspect you've already noticed that this year's Christmas cards in my design are a bit different from the traditional Christmas color scheme. This is all due to the fact that I had the opportunity to do EAP element coloring projects for Crafty Meraki for the first time, and I opted for a pastel color scheme. Therefore, my main idea for this time after the release was to show you many opportunities to create inspiration based on a completely different color palette.
Today, shades of pink and purple will play a starring role. To start with, I prepared a card base by inking them with the main colors of this inspiration. Then I made a few splashes of water to lighten the background a bit and give it some texture. Then I sprinkled the prepared background with gold glitter paint, which gave it some elegance and sparkle. The next step was to prepare the background using the "Mini Slimline Bar None" die cut. Once the base was glued together, it was time to prepare the stamped elements.
As always, I made them on paper suitable for use with alcohol markers. I then moved on to coloring the elements and adding some accents to them with white gel pen.
Finally, I arranged the composition from the prepared elements, added the inscription and some wonderful crystals from the last release. Of course, in the color pink. They perfectly complemented the whole inspiration.
I hope I managed to encourage you to get out of the traditional Christmas colors and try something new.
